When outside the fenced yard, dogs must be leashed and under control. This is a City of Charleston ordinance as well as a rule of the JTV Covenants and Restrictions. Free roaming cats are permitted as long as they meet requirements of the City of Charleston and do not create a nuisance.
Owners, keepers and walkers are responsible for cleaning up any mess that a pet creates. Pet waste may not be disposed of in common areas or easements.

Jamestowne Village is in the City of Charleston and receives garbage collection service once weekly. A standardized container is required. To request a container, follow this link to the City of Charleston Garbage Collection and see Acquiring a Standardized Residential Container.
Garbage containers should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6:00 PM the day before scheduled pick-up and removed as soon as possible after pickup, but no later than 6:00 PM on the scheduled pickup days.
